Forehead / Browlift
As you age, the effects inevitable. The eyes usually show the first signs of ageing, typically starting in the 30’s. Closely linked with how the eyes age is the forehead. A tired or angry looking forehead and eyebrow are one of the first signs of the change. A forehead lift or brow lift can be used to correct the heavy brow and forehead wrinkles. The procedure creates a refreshed, youthful appearance to the forehead area by repositioning the eyebrow and rejuvenating the upper face.
There are three different methods that can be used for a forehead lift. Dr. Bain can perform an open approach, short scar or mini-brow lift approach and the endoscopic approach. Depending on the one that is best for you.
The surgery begins with placement of the incisions. In endoscopic brow lifting, four or five small incisions are made within the hairline. The endoscope is then placed through these incisions to visualize the surgical field. The entire forehead is repositioned to a more youthful height and the eyebrow arch is re-established. The procedure usually lasts less than one hour.
